Our Mission
Jewish Path is a free, comprehensive study guide for anyone preparing for Orthodox conversion to Judaism (giur). We created this resource because every sincere candidate deserves access to quality study materials — regardless of location or financial situation.
Our content covers the core topics that batei din expect conversion candidates to know: Jewish belief and theology, Shabbat and holidays, kashrut, family purity, tefillah, Jewish history, and daily halachic life.
An Orthodox Study Companion
Jewish Path is built specifically for candidates pursuing Orthodox conversion. All content is aligned with normative halacha as codified in the Shulchan Aruch and accepted by mainstream Orthodox poskim.
What this means in practice:

- •Where significant differences exist between Ashkenazi and Sephardi practice, both are noted

We do not represent any particular stream within Orthodoxy (Modern Orthodox, Charedi, Chassidic, Sephardi), but present the shared halachic foundations that all Orthodox batei din expect candidates to master.
Our Sources
Our content is compiled from authoritative halachic sources including the Shulchan Aruch, Mishnah Berurah, Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, and widely accepted Orthodox halachic guides. The Beit Din Q&A section is based on the curriculum of Nativ — the official Israeli conversion authority.
We strive for accuracy and welcome corrections from qualified rabbinical authorities. We encourage all users to verify any halachic questions with their sponsoring rabbi or Beit Din.
What Jewish Path Is — and Isn't
Jewish Path is a study companion, not a conversion program.
We do not:
- •Operate a Beit Din or perform conversions
- •Replace the role of a sponsoring rabbi (rav machshir)
- •Issue any certificates or endorsements
- •Provide halachic rulings (psak halacha)
Orthodox conversion requires personal guidance from a qualified rabbi, a period of sincere study and observance, acceptance of mitzvot (kabbalat ol mitzvot), immersion in a mikveh, and for men — brit milah or hatafat dam brit. These steps must be conducted under the supervision of a recognized Orthodox Beit Din.

Meet Yael
The person behind Jewish Path
If you're reading this, chances are you already know what it feels like: the excitement, the uncertainty, the late-night studying, the moments of deep inspiration mixed with "wait, am I doing this right?" That feeling of standing at the beginning of something enormous, knowing your life is about to change forever.
I know that feeling intimately because I lived it myself. My name is Yael (יעל), and with deep gratitude to Hashem, I have completed my Orthodox Jewish conversion. The journey that once felt impossibly long is now part of who I am, and the people, prayers, study, tears and joys along the way have shaped me forever.
I created Jewish Path because I wanted to build the resource I wished had existed when I first started. When I began studying for my conversion, I spent hours searching for clear, organized, beginner-friendly materials, and found very little. So much of what's out there assumes you already know things that nobody actually taught you yet, and I wanted to change that.
Now that I've stood before the Beit Din and immersed in the mikveh, this site has become something even more meaningful to me. It is my way of honouring everyone who supported me: my rabbis, my Beit Din, my community, and the religious family who took me in, guided me and taught me throughout the entire journey. I want to pass the same kindness forward to those still walking the path I once walked.
The heart of this project is rooted in one of the most beautiful principles in Judaism: Gemilut Chasadim, acts of loving kindness. The Talmud teaches that the world stands on three pillars: Torah, prayer, and acts of kindness toward others. Helping a fellow human being is not just a nice thing to do in Judaism; it is a sacred obligation, a core part of what it means to have a Jewish soul.
This website is my small act of Gemilut Chasadim, and my heartfelt todah rabbah to Hashem for bringing me home. If even one person finds comfort, clarity, or confidence here, then every hour spent building it was worth it.
I want you to know that you are not alone on this journey. Whatever stage you're at, whether you're just curious, actively studying, or preparing for your Beit Din, there is someone out here who understands, who cares, and who is cheering you on. I've been where you are, and I promise that the path is real, and it leads home.
