Where is the mezuzah placed?
At the entrance to the home and every room, on the right side of the doorway, in the upper third of the doorpost

In detail
The mezuzah is placed on the right doorpost as you enter the room, in the upper third of the doorframe. It is affixed at a slight inward angle (Ashkenazi custom) or vertically (Sephardic custom). The positioning is based on the verse 'and you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates' (Deuteronomy 6:9).
