How many days is Rosh Hashanah?
Two days
Source: Shulchan Aruch OC 600
In detail
Rosh Hashanah is observed for two days, even in Israel (unlike most holidays which are one day in Israel). The two days are considered 'one long day' (yoma arichta). This is because in ancient times, the new month was declared by witnesses who saw the new moon, and there was uncertainty about the exact date.
