Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) falls on the 28th of Iyar, celebrating the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six-Day War in June 1967. After 19 years of Jordanian control, the Old City, the Temple Mount, and the Western Wall were returned to Jewish sovereignty. Many recite Hallel on this day.
