Tashlich is a custom performed on the first day of Rosh Hashanah (or during the Ten Days of Repentance). Jews go to a body of flowing water and symbolically 'cast' their sins into the water while reciting prayers, based on Micah 7:19: 'You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.'
