Do fish need to be koshered?

No need for slaughter or koshering

    Source: Shulchan Aruch YD 83

    In detail

Fish do not require shechita (ritual slaughter) or kashering (salting). This is because the Torah prohibition on blood applies only to land animals and birds, not fish. Fish are considered kosher as-is once you verify they have fins and scales. However, one should be careful when buying fish to ensure it hasn't been processed on equipment contaminated with non-kosher fish.
