In detail
Moses (Moshe Rabbeinu — Moses our Teacher) is considered the greatest prophet in Jewish history. Born in Egypt during the period of slavery, saved as a baby in a basket on the Nile, he was chosen by God to liberate the Israelites. He confronted Pharaoh, led the Exodus, split the Red Sea, received the Torah at Sinai, and guided the nation for 40 years in the desert. The Torah states that no prophet like Moses has ever arisen.
