King Solomon (Shlomo HaMelech) was David's son. God granted him extraordinary wisdom, he was known as the wisest of all men. His greatest achievement was building the First Temple (Beit HaMikdash) in Jerusalem, which became the spiritual center of the Jewish world. He also authored three books of the Bible: Proverbs (Mishlei), Ecclesiastes (Kohelet), and Song of Songs (Shir HaShirim).
