What is the difference between evening and morning Kiddush?

Evening, Kiddush from the Torah with multiple blessings. Morning, Kiddush is rabbinical with only one blessing (over the wine)

    In detail

Evening Kiddush is a Torah obligation (d'oraita) and includes blessings over wine, the creation narrative, and the sanctification of Shabbat. Morning Kiddush ('Kiddush Rabbah') is a rabbinic institution (d'rabbanan) and consists of only the wine blessing plus a few verses. Despite being called 'Rabbah' (great), it is actually shorter — the name is used respectfully.
