How many times is the Torah read on Shabbat?

Twice. The first time between Shacharit and Musaf (the weekly portion), and the second during Mincha

Source: Shulchan Aruch OC 282, 292

    In detail

The Torah is read publicly twice on Shabbat: (1) during the morning service between Shacharit and Musaf — when the full weekly portion is read with 7 aliyot, and (2) during Mincha (afternoon service) — when just the beginning of the NEXT week's portion is read with 3 aliyot, giving a preview of the coming week's study.
