How many blessings are in the Shabbat prayer?

7: because on Shabbat we don't make requests in prayer; the 18 weekday blessings are condensed to 1, plus 3 opening and 3 closing

    In detail

The Shabbat Amidah contains 7 blessings instead of the weekday 19. On weekdays, the middle 13 blessings are personal requests (health, livelihood, wisdom, etc.), but on Shabbat we don't make personal requests — the day is about rest and spiritual elevation, not worry. These 13 are replaced by a single middle blessing about the sanctity of Shabbat. The first 3 and last 3 blessings remain the same as weekdays.
