When do we say Me'ein Shalosh?

After eating mezonot foods, wine, or fruits of the Seven Species

    Source: Shulchan Aruch OC 208

    In detail

Me'ein Shalosh is recited after eating foods from three specific categories that are related to the Seven Species: (1) grain-based foods with the Mezonot blessing (cakes, cookies, pasta), (2) wine or grape juice, and (3) fruits of the Seven Species (grapes/raisins, figs, pomegranates, olives, dates). The text of Me'ein Shalosh changes slightly depending on which of these three categories you ate. If you ate from multiple categories, all are mentioned in a single combined version.
